Song-A-Day: Subtle Dark

Song-A-Day: Goth, Won't You?:

1.)  Transylvanian Concubine by Rasputina: their most known work, but in my humblest of opinions, not their best...if you like it, or cello rock for that matter, check out more from the great Rasputina.
2.) Katrina Josephina by Universal Hall Pass (a one man....err...woman band no less!)
3.) Evil Playground by Front Line Assembly
4.) Tarja Turunen by Oasis
5.) Wicked Game by HIM; let me make something clear: I hate H.I.M....but this cover is perfect.
6.) Cry For the Moon by Epica
7.) The Burn by The Cure

p.s.; no worries: Siouxsie and the Banshees will make an appearance later on in the year.

p.p.s; Especially Awesome, Totally Cool, Breathtaking, Bad Ass News: Cousin Jay the Papa of Music (CJPOM) is now an official contributor! He is responsible for tracks 4-6. ROCK!

"What's next?"  Well, let me tell you..."Mashups", "Summer Songs", and "Vocoder? I Barely Know Her!"

RELAUNCHED!

Starting up two new projects and one old one:
The first is my music discovery project: Song-A-Day. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time. I'll be throwing out a song by a band that I think people NEED to hear at least once in their life. That beings said, there are some rules I'll follow:

THE FAB FIVE:
1.) No repeats on artists; it'd be too easy to list 365 songs from a few great musicians and bands.
2.) Songs that I don't think are that well known (at least by people who don't follow that genre/artist) OR, if the artist IS well known, then one of their lesser-known songs.
3.) Only the artists/songs I've known about before this point.
4.) I'll update once/week, and list 7 songs.
5.) I'll list the next 3 weeks' themes.

The other project: Out at Themovies: movie reviews...I'll update once in a while...simple as that.

SONG-A-DAY WEEK 1: Theme = Techno &  Turntabling

1.) Que Sera by Wax Tailor

2.) Frontier Psychiatrist by The Avalanches

3.) Organ Donor by DJ Shadow

4.) (I Wish I Had) a Wooden Heart by David Holmes

5.) Born Slippy by Underworld

6.) Outside Kickass Violin Solo by Aphex Twin

7.) Love Was Made for 2 by Data 80

On deck: Creative Covers // British, Post-Invasion //  Nerdcore Hiphop
